Buffalo, NY (August 10, 2010) Celerity LLC, the nation's fastest growing software provider for chemical dependency and mental health treatment providers, welcomes their fourth partner in Pennsylvania, POWER (Pennsylvania Organization for Women in Early Recovery). POWER will be joining Open Door, H.S.A. Counseling and Greater Philadelphia Health Action Network in using Celerity's flagship software, CAM, as their electronic medical record to assist them in significantly reducing the amount of time spent on paperwork.
CAM was developed specifically for the needs of alcohol, drug and mental health treatment providers. Celerity's CAM enables providers to maintain all records electronically in a low-cost and highly effective manner, from the first point of contact through discharge and billing. The flexibility and user-friendly interface makes Celerity an attractive choice for providers.
POWER's mission is to help women reclaim their lives from the disease of addiction to alcohol and other drugs, and reduce the incidence of addiction in future generations. Located in Pittsburgh and licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health-Bureau of Drug and Alcohol and Drug Programs, POWER offers a full range of gender-responsive, trauma-informed treatment and support services to women who are experiencing problems with alcohol or other drugs. Their unique continuum of care is designed to reflect the lives of women. Programming addresses issues like social stigma, trauma, physical and gynecological health, parenting, relationships, self-esteem, and mental illness — all within a gender-specific framework. POWER's focus is on client strengths and they believe that empowering women leads to healthy families and strong communities. POWER's target population is women 18 and older. POWER offers immediate assessment and admission to treatment in the following order: (a) pregnant injection-drug users; (b) pregnant substance abusers; (c) women who are injection-drug users; and (d) all other women.
Peter Labaki, President and CEO of Celerity, LLC said, "To have the opportunity to help POWER improve their very fine treatment services is a much appreciated and welcomed opportunity. To play a small role in helping the team at POWER help a woman get into recovery is our reward. I started the company as a way to give back. That is how it works. We are dedicated to helping providers with their mission of saving lives."
