Dear Members:

ASAP has been working with a diverse group of businesses interested in sponsoring ASAP events, offering ASAP member benefits, and increasing their visibility in our field. On a number of occasions we have sent you letters introducing companies that we are working with that we thought would be of benefit to you (Food Source Plus, Unemployment Services Trust, etc). We are happy to tell you about a new company, Celerity LLC, which has begun to work with us as a conference sponsor and member services partner. ASAP learned about Celerity in Treatment Magazine, reached out to determine their interest in supporting ASAP activities, and received a very favorable response.

We encourage ASAP members to visit Celerity’s exhibit booth at ASAP conferences and events and to call Peter Labaki, President & CEO, to learn more about his work with our field. One of Celerity’s products, Clinical Addictions Manager (CAM), an Electronic Clinical Record (ECR), was developed by clinicians for clinicians in conjunction with the University of Buffalo’s Research Institute on Addictions. A number of ASAP’s members have been working with Celerity on this electronic record that meets OASAS requirements and includes data from the initial point-of-contact through treatment to discharge.

ASAP will be working with Celerity during the coming year. We are impressed with their corporate commitment to the treatment and recovery process and have confidence that Celerity can work in a flexible manner with outpatient and inpatient programs even where fiscal realities present a challenge. As part of our working relationship with Celerity, we have negotiated special pricing for our members and support to ASAP for its efforts.
