BUFFALO, NY ( May 30, 2007) - United Health Services Hospitals’ New Horizons Program located in Binghamton, New York offers prompt access to services for people suffering from alcohol or drug-related problems. New Horizons has selected Celerity LLC and its industry leading Clinical Addictions Manager © (CAM) software application to provide an essential role in their efforts to enhance Patient Care and Recovery Processes.
CAM enables chemical dependency providers to focus more on the path and steps to recovery for their patients. "Treatment is about saving lives and our goal has always been to help treatment providers accomplish this. Nobody gets into this field to do paperwork, it is all about helping others to recover," says Peter S. Labaki President and CEO of Celerity LLC.
Alan Wilmarth, Director, Addictions and Outpatient Mental Health Services at UHSH’s New Horizons stated "We first implemented electronic support in our addictions programs in 1995. Our primary purpose in doing so was to decrease the amount of time each member of our team spends completing paper work and, more importantly, to improve continuity of care for patients as they moved through the various levels of treatment."
Wilmarth goes on to state: "The CAM system has taken the electronic medical record for addictions treatment to new levels and we are excited to be working with Celerity to implement this powerful new tool in our program. The CAM system provides clinical staff with a faster, more accurate and highly integrated electronic medical record tool and also affords our leadership team unprecedented ability to aggregate data, monitor compliance with documentation standards and generate meaningful reports on patient outcomes and staff productivity."
